Anna Hughes is a lifelong cyclist and environmentalist. A qualified teacher, cycling instructor and mechanic, she works freelance, currently in the Bristol area.
She has a passion for long-distance cycle touring and has cycled and sailed around the British coastline.
Her first book, Eat, Sleep, Cycle: a bike ride around the coast of Britain, was published in March 2015 by Summersdale.
Her second book, Pedal Power, was published in April 2017. This book collects inspirational stories from riders around the world, both ordinary and extraordinary, from the cyclist who conquered Mont Ventoux on a Boris bike, to the trials rider who hops from building to building, to classic tales of Grand Tour rivalries and legendary cycling records of days gone by. Essential reading for anyone who loves life on two wheels.
Anna lives on a narrowboat and loves exploring the inland waterways of Great Britain.
The event is being held in the Cafe at Stan's Cycles. Refreshments will be available from the Cafe.
